Day at the Park,  July 24, 2014


It is the first day after the largest American Quarter Horse show in the United States
took place at Horse Park USA™.  Nearly 900 competition horses, 1200 exhibitors of
horse-related products, as well as, 100,000 spectators took part in the show which 
lasted for a four week period.  Over $1,000,000.00 in cash and prizes, including
new trucks and horse trailers, were awarded to first and second place winners
during the event. 

More than 4,000 park employees begin their day at 5:30 a.m., with positive energy
flowing everywhere. Maintenance workers are busy cleaning and restocking the
cottages and hotel rooms, caretakers are performing daily grooming of the landscaping
and grounds, racetrack and show arena personnel are preparing the horses and
facilities, retail personnel are getting ready for the massive influx of shoppers, while
the restaurant and entertainment workers are organizing to prepare for hungry visitors
from around the world.

Competitors in the world-class horse shows come from across the nation and around
the world to compete for the prestige and prizes.  Therapeutic riding programs at the
park give riders the opportunity to take part in the latest advancements to ensure that
their experience is a pleasant and enriching experience.

Mascots, storytellers and guides are getting amped up for the fun-filled atmosphere
that made Horse Park USA™ famous.  Everyone knows that a visit to the park means a
pleasurable experience for the entire family – from the fantastic rides at the full-scale
amusement park to the exciting, splash rides at the water park, unlimited shopping in
the 210 retail stores, to horse-related activities of every kind.

The park's unique, enclosed eleven-story structure provides the perfect atmosphere for
year-round adventures.  Outside the park is a wonderland of fun, from antics of the wild
West at Western World USA™, to the outdoor sporting goods' super store, and the miles
of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.

Behind the scenes, the service technicians are transporting the horse waste (manure)
and the park's refuse to the gas-fired, biomass electrical plant that provides alternative
energy to the park.  The park's Security Patrol, including the Horse Park USA™ Mounted
Police, is among the world's finest.

It's now 8:00 a.m. as the park opens its doors for the day's festivities.  The coffee shops,
cafes and restaurants are welcoming in visitors for the best brewed cups of coffee and
finest cuisine they've ever tasted.  Fresh flowers are everywhere, with their sweet aromas
cascading through the air.  Local florists, as well as, the park's own floral department are
kept busy making sure every petal is fresh and beautiful.  Floral deliveries to the chapel
at Western World USA™ guarantee that the numerous weddings held there will provide
memories for a lifetime.

The horse racing begins with the Quarter Horse races, followed by the Arab and other
breed races, then the Thoroughbred races, finishing the day with the steeplechase races. 
Over $10,000,000.00 in purses will be paid to the winners today.

As the day turns to evening, visitors are ready to be rejuvenated for the entertainment
opportunities that abound at the park.  Some will choose to relax and be pampered at the
world-class spa offering everything imaginable.  Others will head for the big name concerts,
plays, or sporting events held at the Equiplex™ facilities, while others choose to take in the
latest movies in the 3-D Cinema Complex and unlimited entertainment options at the park.

At the end of the night, comfort and peace await the park's guests in their hotel rooms, suites,
efficiency apartments, and cottages.  Freshly cut flowers and gourmet chocolates on their
pillows let the guests know how much their visit means to everyone at the park...
